Dave was told last weekend by one of our 14th & U customers that Summer Rambo apples make the best apple dumplings. Traditionally, Summer Rambo apples are known for the great applesauce they make. And Dave agrees, Summer Rambo are great baked too.Mary Margaret made a Summer Rambo and Blackberry cobbler this week. The slices of apple keep their shape, but soften nicely in the warm cobbler. And of course, Dave heaped plenty of vanilla ice cream atop his cobbler.
