Many of our Farmers Markets will be concluding just before Thanksgiving. Are you already fearful that you are going to go into Farmers Market withdrawal? Hating the idea of having to buy apples from the grocery store all winter?
Well, we have good news for you! You don’t have to experience any of that wretchedness this winter! Kuhn Orchards has you covered and you can continue enjoying local and flavorful produce all winter long!
Kuhn Orchards offers a winter produce pick-up option for farmers market customers. We make bi-weekly deliveries to Vienna, Lorton, Fairlington, and Washington, DC from November/December through the end of April. Our Winter CSA and A La Carte Web Store are 2 ways for you to continue enjoying our produce throughout the winter months!
The Winter CSA boxes contain usually 2 varieties of apples, sometimes pears, and a few veggies. We’ll also include occasionally apple cider, dried apples and our jarred goods. This CSA is perfect for those who want local produce on a bi-weekly basis. CSA boxes are $35 each.
The A La Carte Web Store is a great option for people who may not want the commitment of a bi-weekly CSA box. You can shop in our Web Store, select exactly what you want, and we’ll pack up the order and deliver it to one of our 4 pick-up locations. We’ll send you a confirmation email after you place your order, and a reminder email just prior to the pick-up. A La Carte members can also purchase eggs, milk and dairy products, and meat.
CSA members also have access to the A La Carte Web Store and may purchase additional items to go along with their CSA box.
With either the Winter CSA or A La Carte Web Store, you can be sure that you are getting your fill of local and flavorful produce and farm products all winter long. They will be sure to tide you over until your favorite Farmers Market opens again in the spring!
