Cherry Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup + ½ cup sugar
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- ½ cup milk
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 1 qt. pitted sweet cherries
- ¼ tsp. cinnamon
- splash of almond extract
Instructions
- Mix flour, sugar, salt and baking powder. Add milk and blend well. Melt the butter in a 2 or 3 quart baking dish.
- Pour the batter on top of the melted butter. Heat the cherries in saucepan with ½ cup sugar; add the cinnamon and almond extract and remove from heat and pour over the batter mixture.
- Bake about 35 minutes at 350°. You can also use blueberries, peaches or other tart fruit with the same recipe.
