Sweet Onion Dip

Sweet Onion Dip
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 pound sweet onions, finely chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 oz, cream cheese, softened
  • 1½ tsp. white wine vinegar
  • ¼ cup chives, finely chopped
  1. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat.
  2. Add onions and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook, stirring frequently, until golden brown, about 12 to 15 minutes. Let cool to room temperature.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine onions, sour cream, cream cheese, vinegar and chives. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Chill dip in refrigerator until slightly thickened, about 1 hour, or cover and refrigerate up to 2 days.
  6. Serve with chips or crackers.
