*Obviously, we will not be able to bring to you our fresh picked asparagus and rhubarb in the middle of the winter, but by the end of April (if we have traditional spring weather to allow for an ideal growing season) we hope to include our tender tips of asparagus and stalks of rhubarb as a “Welcome Spring” treat!
Kuhn Orchards is an orchard; we grow primarily fruit. For our farmers markets, we grow a variety of vegetables to diversify our market stand. We have grown a few vegetables specifically for our Winter CSA, such as spinach, sweet potatoes, potatoes, parsnips, salsify and carrots to name a few. We have also asked a friend of ours to grow a few more vegetables for this year’s CSA, such as: broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, celery, beets, and kale or collard greens. However, depending on germination success and productivity, some vegetables may be limited or absent from the CSA box.
