- 3 pints blackberries
- 1 ¼ cup sugar
- ⅛tsp. kosher salt
- ¾ tsp. ginger
- ¼ cup flour, tapioca flour or cornstarch for thickener
- 2-3 Tbsp. butter
- Pastry for double crust pie
- Preheat oven to 400°. Mix blackberries with sugar, salt, ginger and thickener. Let stand for 15 minutes. Place into crust, dot with butter. Cover with top layer of crust sliced with heat vents.
- Turn oven down to 350° and bake for approximately 1 hour. Place foil over the top if the top starts to brown too quickly.
