Blueberry Buckle

Ingredients
- ¾ cup sugar
- ¼ cup butter
- 1 egg
- ½ cup milk
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. salt
- 2 cups blueberries (1 pint)
- Topping
- ⅓ cup flour
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ tsp. cinnamon
- ¼ cup cold butter
- ¼ - ½ cup sliced almonds
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Cream together sugar, butter and egg. Stir in milk.
- Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add dry ingredients to cream mixture and mix well.
- Fold in blueberries. Spread into a greased and floured 9-inch pan.
- Topping
- Combine flour, sugar and cinnamon. Cut in butter until crumbly.
- Add almonds and mix together lightly. Sprinkle over batter.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes.
