Blueberry Buckle

Ingredients
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 2 cups blueberries (1 pint)
  • Topping
  • ⅓ cup flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • ¼ cup cold butter
  • ¼ - ½ cup sliced almonds
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Cream together sugar, butter and egg. Stir in milk.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add dry ingredients to cream mixture and mix well.
  4. Fold in blueberries. Spread into a greased and floured 9-inch pan.
  5. Topping
  6. Combine flour, sugar and cinnamon. Cut in butter until crumbly.
  7. Add almonds and mix together lightly. Sprinkle over batter.
  8. Bake for 45-50 minutes.
