Jewish Apple Cake

Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 2½ cups sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 4 eggs
- ½ tsp. salt
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 ½ tsp vanilla
- ⅓ cup orange juice
- 6 apples, peeled and sliced
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 3 Tbl. sugar
- ¼ tsp. nutmeg
- ½ tsp. allspice
Instructions
- Mix together flour, 2 ½ c. sugar, oil, eggs, salt, baking powder, vanilla & orange juice. Batter will be very thick.
- Peel and slice apples and add 3 Tbl. sugar and spices and stir well.
- Layer the batter and apples into a greased tube pan. First layer is batter, then apples , batter and top with remaining apples.
- Bake at 350° F for about 1 ½ to 2 hours.
