We are in the peak of our blueberry season and from the sounds of it, we’re only half way through! Yippee!
Blueberries are probably one of the easiest fruits to eat and incorporate into your daily meals.
Kat enjoys eating blueberries fresh out of hand, and also blended in smoothies.
Diane says that she tosses them in with her oatmeal in the morning, and on top of yogurt.
Nathan and Caleb both love blueberry pancakes. And Caleb even takes it to the next level with blueberry syrup on top!
Steve enjoys fresh baked blueberry muffins too.
Blueberries are simple to freeze so you can enjoy them in the off-season. Simply wash and let air dry (gently rolling them around on a tea towel speeds up the process). Then place them on a rimmed cookie sheet in a single layer and freeze. The next morning put them in freezer containers. You can pour out exactly what you need with out thawing a large batch.
